The University of Iowa Parking & Transportation department is seeking a CAMBUS Operations Supervisor . The Operations Supervisor position supervises the daily activities of the public transit services operations and employees. Plans, coordinates and implements service changes, policies and system procedures. Supervises, trains, assigns, monitors and evaluates the work of employees to meet service objectives. Documents and evaluates system performance for the purpose of reporting, meeting objectives and improving the quality-of-service delivery, design and safety. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization. Duties to include: Evaluate, recommend, and implement service additions, expansion, or modification. Monitor, maintain, and update transit information systems, including CAD/AVL, demand-response software, and other systems and databases Maintain and develop operational data and activity reports for evaluating system performance and for state and federal reporting Functionally supervise, communicate expectations, direct training, and provide input to the performance review of dispatching staff. Prepare, monitor, update and maintain all means of disseminating service information: brochures, bus stops, website, notices and alerts, real-time information system. Lead and supervise the daily operation of the transit system services and lead the timely and effective response to service issues, disruptions and emergencies.
