About The Position

The CAM Engineer utilizes computer-aided manufacturing software to optimize supply data for the manufacturing of printed circuit boards. The CAM Tech Engineer can undertake complex jobs or jobs that involves sequential lamination, book binders and high layer counts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5 years or more of experience in PCB industry or manufacturing
• Working knowledge of the PCB industry and processes
• Coursework in engineering drafting or design, AutoCAD, electric circuits, computer-aided manufacturing, manufacturing or process engineering, or similar courses
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Team player

Nice To Haves

• Technical certificate or Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Use CAM software to perform design rule analysis of printed circuit boards
• Upon receipt of traveler from planning, verify customer requirements with CAM documents package to detect discrepancies; verify manufacturability
• Report discrepancies to planning for deviations
• Modify various aspects of PCB image such as line widths, pad sizes, etch comp and annular ring to ensure compliance with engineering standards
• Create computer files to panelize data and output drill, AOI and test data
• Complete all internal department documentation accurately
