We are seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to maintain our calibration program in compliance with AS9100 quality standards and FAA Part 21.137 production certification requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of precision measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, pressure gauges, electronic test equipment)
  • Demonstrated experience with calibration procedures and documentation systems
  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid driver's license (travel to other sites may occasionally be required)

Nice To Haves

  • AS9100 or equivalent aerospace quality system experience
  • ASQ Certified CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) or equivalent
  • Calibration certification or formal calibration training
  • Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced measurement systems
  • Familiarity with calibration software and data management systems
  • ISO 17025 laboratory experience
  • Background in FAA or defense contractor environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and certification of precision measurement equipment, gauges, and instruments using established procedures and calibration standards
  • Maintain comprehensive calibration records and documentation to ensure compliance with AS9100, AS9102, NIST, and other applicable aerospace quality standards
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on calibration equipment
  • Ensure all M&TE maintains unbroken chain of traceability to NIST or equivalent national/international standards
  • Identify equipment requiring recalibration and manage calibration schedules
  • Support FAA, customer, and third-party audits including AS9100 surveillance audits
  • Maintain calibration database and equipment master lists
  • Investigate and document out-of-tolerance conditions and coordinate impact assessments
  • Perform verification checks and perform first article inspection (FAI) support
  • Ensure traceability of all measurements to NIST or equivalent standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and equipment failures
  • Participate in internal audits and quality management reviews
  • Maintain a clean, organized calibration lab environment and inventory of standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the calibration process
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to engineering and quality teams
