About You We’re seeking a results-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Calibration Technician. In this role, you will calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiometer instrumentationby executing calibration procedures, determining calibration requirements for new equipment, meeting defined performance and compliance standards for existing equipment, interpreting results, and ensuring accurate, timely, and standards-compliant service delivery for internal and external customers

Requirements

  • Technical diploma, associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalency preferred
  • HS Diploma required
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as JD Edwards E1
  • Ability to interpret calibration procedures, technical documentation, and basic equipment specifications
  • Work in production floor and lab settings
  • 2+ years of experience in calibration, equipment service, manufacturing, or quality-related technical roles
  • Precise, detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and safety
  • Proficiency using calibration instruments and standard hand tools in laboratory and light production environments
  • Applied problem-solving capability within defined calibration standards, including identifying deviations and determining appropriate corrective actions
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure traceability within calibration and quality systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and troubleshooting of new radiometers to defined standards by applying work instructions, interpreting calibration results, identifying deviations, and determining appropriate adjustments or repair actions to meet performance requirements
  • Generate and validate calibration certificates for new and customer radiometers by reviewing calibration data, confirming compliance with standards, and issuing accurate documentation aligned with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain internal equipment calibration and operational readiness across the organization by managing calibration schedules, coordinating vendor services, initiating purchase requests, and ensuring all equipment meets defined calibration and performance requirements
  • Process intake and evaluation of customer radiometers upon receipt by assessing condition, identifying calibration or repair needs, recording required data, and updating system trackers to ensure accurate workflow progression
  • Determine calibration methods and requirements for new radiometer products by evaluating product specifications, selecting appropriate standards and equipment, and establishing procedures that ensure accurate, repeatable, and compliant calibration
  • Train personnel on calibration procedures and technical best practices by demonstrating proper techniques, reinforcing adherence to standards, and ensuring consistent application of calibration methods across users
