Technician trainee is an entry-level position, requiring no prior experience. Trainees are expected to learn the skills and processes necessary to perform calibration work within the lab environment. Trainees will work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc.

Requirements

Ability to learn new skills regarding calibration and calibration processes
Previous experience with electronic or machining training
Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
Familiarity with basic tools
Proficiency with office computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Basic organizational and time management skills
High School diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Under the supervision and direction of technicians within the lab and in training programs, learn fundamental calibration techniques and processes
Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently
Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
Other duties as assigned
L earn fundamental calibration techniques and processes
Develop skills necessary to perform calibrations independently
Develop skills necessary to advance to Technician Apprentice position within six (6) months of employment
Deliver on Transcat’s Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001)
