About The Position

Tesla is seeking an experienced Calibration Technician to join our LFP Cell Manufacturing Quality Lab team in Sparks, Nevada. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and maintaining the calibration program across a 24/7 production environment. You will ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance of inspection, test, and measurement equipment, directly supporting both production operations and Tesla’s mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Execute the calibration program for all inspection, test, and measurement equipment in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment, including but not limited to: Calipers, Micrometers, Weight sets, Vision Masters, Feeler Gauges, Multimeters, Hi-pot Testers, Leak Detectors, and Flow Cells etc. Perform calibration, repair, troubleshooting, and modification of industrial process control instrumentation on cell manufacturing lines, while maintaining technical documentation and procedures Review calibration results and certificates to verify accuracy and compliance Train equipment owners and operators on proper use of the calibration system and requirements Communicate equipment status to stakeholders, including TPM activities, total cost of ownership tracking, and early warnings on recurring tool failures Manage tools requiring external service by scheduling on- and off-site calibrations, establishing service contracts, maintaining certification records, and addressing issues during vendor support Support Tesla’s mission, values, and operational goals through daily calibration and quality activities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in calibration laboratories or quality operations
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards
  • Familiarity with control plans and their application in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in manufacturing
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
