Find your future with us. The Boeing Company is looking for a Calibration Technician A to join our team in Renton, WA. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • Precision metrology equipment lab training

Responsibilities

  • Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
  • Use calibration standards (dimensional, electrical, thermal, and optical) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications
  • Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results
  • Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems
  • Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab
  • Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime
  • Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
  • Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
  • Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by team lead or manager
  • Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
  • Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
  • Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes
  • Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures
  • Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
