About The Position

Stroudsmoor Bakery in Towne is seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and decorating, along with a keen eye for detail and design. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for bringing our clients' visions to life by skillfully decorating cakes according to their specifications.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cake decorator or baker is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Passion for baking and a genuine love for creating beautiful and delicious desserts.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes according to customer orders, including but not limited to wedding cakes, birthday cakes, and specialty cakes.
• Use various icing techniques, piping, fondant, and other decorative elements to create visually stunning designs.
• Work closely with clients to understand their design preferences and ensure their satisfaction with the finished product.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring ingredient levels.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continually enhance skills and creativity.
• Collaborate with other bakery staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
• Occasionally assist with other bakery tasks such as baking, frosting, and packaging as needed.
• Any other additional duties that are assigned.
