Job Description: The Forensics & Compliance internship program is a full-time summer work experience focused on providing college students with practical compliance and forensics experience. It allows them to develop leadership, technical, and communication skills as well as broaden their understanding of the concepts learned in school and "get a taste of the real world" before they are fully committed to it. Internship participants will be better able to apply concepts learned in the classroom and to ask more poignant questions of their professors to further their goals and education. Forensics & Compliance internship applicants must demonstrate strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills as well as a desire to explore careers in forensics, compliance, and finance. Each internship role includes opportunities for exposure to sensitive issue investigations, various types of audits, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and SOX audits, and a capstone project. Specific responsibilities may include analytical support of forensic analysis, formulation of investigative strategies, audit planning using data analytics tools, and audit participation. Other common tasks include analysis of financial questions and problems, problem solving, active business partnering, and developing innovative methods to improve job metrics and processes.
