General Summary of Duties: Responsible for company assets and Cage team members on the assigned shift. Example of Duties ( includes but is not limited to the following ): Understand and adhere to Grand Victoria Casino and Cage & Credit Operations standards, policies, and procedures. Obtain a strong understanding of the Internal Control Systems (ICS) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). Ability to comply with and practice the Grand Victoria Casino’s Family Style Service Standards. Acquire and maintain strong knowledge of the Federal Cash Reporting Requirements required under Title 31. Counsel employees and implement necessary corrective measures. Supervise and train all Cage hourly team members. Verify cash turn-ins from operating departments. Verify various types of cash pay-outs. Verify cashier’s banks. Prepare accountability to determine daily revenue. Prepare daily bank deposits for revenue. Approve guest credit within prescribed limits. Prepare work schedule for all Cage employees. Perform all tasks that may be assigned in the future. Performance Requirements ( knowledge, skills and abilities) : - Ability to read, write, and speak in English. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, as well as knowledge of Cage Cashier functions in a CMS and SDS environment. - Proficiency in the relevant skills and knowledge required for the position under supervision. - Intermediate math skills. - Ability to establish and maintain a positive relationship with the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB). - Effective collaboration with staff, co-workers, and other departments. - High level of confidentiality and integrity always. - Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease. - Effective listening skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, energetic atmosphere and provide impromptu training when necessary. - Strong analytical thinking skills, coupled with open-mindedness, to assess situations and make decisions to resolve outstanding issues. - Flexibility to work varying shifts as required. Typical Physical/Mental Demands : Requires prolonged standing, mobility; eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; use of a computer, calculator, and telephone; communicates directly, telephonically, electronically with guests, management, and staff in English; normal vision and hearing range; understands and complies with the policies and procedures, job description, and other instructions. Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed in the Cage and casino areas; heavy guest contact is required; ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality. Qualifications: High school diploma / GED preferred. Two years + prior management experience preferred. Prior Cage Management or Cage Cashier experience is a plus. Must be minimally 21 years old. Certificate/License: Level 2 Occupational License with the Illinois Gaming Board.
