Opportunity for growth within the organization WHO YOU ARE: You are an energetic customer service professional who enjoys cash-handling and various other cash transaction tasks who also has experience leading the Cage team. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Assists with the overall direction, coordination, scheduling, and evaluation of the Cage department including assistance with hiring, training, career development; planning, assigning, and reviewing work performance; addressing complaints and resolving issues from department employees. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shift by scheduling staff and appropriate training, maintaining Cage operations in the North and South Cages by ensuring all policies, regulations, and procedures are followed. Ensures that cage operations are in compliance with Title 31. Assists customers with problems, complaints, and service concerns including the completion of claim forms. As needed, counts and records daily receipts. Drafts revenue/expenditure reports. As needed, enters data or information into a kiosk/computer. Monitors and/or controls petty cash. Monitors payment balances on accounts. Oversees, prepares, and verifies confidential files, reports (ie. Jackpot accruals and hypes) or correspondence. Supervises the sorting, counting, rolling/bagging coins, and strapping currency. Manages the coin/cash fills on kiosks; oversees the coin audits on kiosks and coin drops on the coin machine. Act as the Cage Department Manager in their absence when required. Reconciles and/or verifies fill and credit paperwork. Assists Cage Manager with special investigations and/or technical reports; completes special projects as needed. Supervises the preparation of the reconciliation and accounting records for the drops. Conducts investigations for Cage cash variances in accordance with established policies. Coordinates with TGA Surveillance on variances and kiosk Hand-Pays of $100 or more. Prepares IRS documents for jackpot winners. Operates two-pocket currency counter when needed. Conducts various Cage Department related internal audits as needed. Assists with writing SOPs, ICs, internal Cage memos and other related materials as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU BRING: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Cage Lead or related position required. AA / AS degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
