About The Position

This position is responsible for cage repairing and providing support for cage repair while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months mechanic work experience and or education documented in the work/education history section of the application. This can be a combination of employers/education if equal to at least 6 months.
• Learn and observe safety regulations/best practices.
• Must be able to drive/operate forklift, scissor lift.
• MUST have good Mathematical skills.
• MUST be able to read diagrams, fabricate, plasma cut, and weld.
• Ability to execute strenuous tasks such as lifting and handing heavy objects, pushing, pulling, stand for long periods of time, squat and kneel.
• MUST be able to troubleshoot and repair small motors.
• MUST be able to use plumbing techniques for water lines.
• Keep company driver’s license.
• REHIRES ARE SUBJECT TO A 1 YEAR WAIT PERIOD.
• CANDIDATES THAT HAVE WORKED FOR TYSON FOODS OR TYSON AFFILIATES 3 OR MORE TIMES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REHIRE.

Responsibilities

• MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Load/offload and strap cages.
• Keep track of Inventory of shop materials.
• Check and perform maintenance on fans daily.
