About The Position

The Cafeteria Cashier at Cherry Hills Christian School plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for students, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for accurately handling cash transactions, managing the cash register, and providing friendly and prompt customer service. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized cashier station while adhering to school policies and health regulations. Requirements

• Previous experience in cashiering or handling cash transactions.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or point-of-sale system.
• Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings and lunch hours.
• Ability to do simple arithmetic
• Ability to make correct change and use a basic computation device

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register to process payments accurately and efficiently for cafeteria purchases.
• Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment while ensuring proper change is given and transactions are recorded.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and resolving any payment-related issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, including restocking supplies and ensuring the register is balanced at the end of each shift.
• Work collaboratively with cafeteria staff to support daily operations and accommodate flexible scheduling needs.
