Part time position – 10-15 hours per week. Availability - Sunday mornings required, flexibility Monday-Thursday Hourly Rate $16.90 an hour. ROLE SUMMARY All cafe employees function as cashiers, baristas, and food handlers. Primary duties include: making drinks using an espresso machine, food preparation, cleaning, customer service, grocery-shopping, and training volunteers. PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following: Help create a positive and welcoming environment for guests and the cafe team. Occasionally spend approximately 1 hour on Saturdays making eggs. Prepare brunch food and make espresso-based beverages. Open and operate the cash register, quickly and accurately distribute change, and balance the drawer at the end of shift. Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized workstation and dining area. Open and close the cafe, thoroughly cleaning equipment, in an efficient manner. Assist manager with weekly grocery runs and receiving/unpacking deliveries. Train and lead volunteers in manager’s absence, including leading a 15-minute prayer huddle. Abide by health and food safety protocols and ONE&ALL Cafe-specific protocols. Adhere to recipes and presentations of food and beverage items while remaining flexible to change. Complete weekly inventory and deep-cleaning tasks. Attend monthly 1:1 meetings with the supervisor. Work staff meetings and special events as needed. Other duties as assigned.
