About The Position

Under the guidance of F&B Manager and/or Chef, overseeing daily operations in the food and beverage department, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and coordinating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of similar roles and nature
  • Hold a current State Alcohol Compliance and Food Handler Card or in the process of being certified
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
  • Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes
  • Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.
  • Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.
  • Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more
  • Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • FSLA Classification: Non-exempt

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of F&B Manager and/or Chef, overseeing daily operations in the food and beverage department, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and coordinating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure a smooth dining experience.
  • Deliver a consistently elevated guest experience, ensuring service standards align with boutique luxury hotel expectations.
  • Greet and engage guests professionally, present menus, explain offerings, and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
  • Oversee daily café service flow while actively serving guests (hands-on leadership).
  • Address guest concerns or service recovery situations promptly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Act as the on-floor leader during assigned shifts, guiding and supporting café servers.
  • Ensure team members adhere to service standards, grooming, and uniform policies.
  • Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring café servers and new hires.
  • Communicate clearly with management regarding staff performance, coverage needs, and operational challenges.
  • Monitor daily inventory levels (coffee, milk, pastries, beverages, paper goods, supplies).
  • Communicate inventory needs, shortages, or quality concerns to management in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory counts, receiving deliveries, and proper storage of products.
  • Ensure café stations are stocked, organized, and ready for service at all times.
  • Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system, ensuring attention to allergens, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, and café menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including counters, equipment, tables, and patio areas.
  • Support pre-bussing, table resets, and guest flow management during peak periods.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Ensure compliance with cash-handling procedures, tip-pool policies, and end-of-shift reporting.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including Florida Department of Health standards.
  • Ensure proper food handling, labeling, and cleanliness practices are followed by the team.
  • Serve as a liaison between café staff, kitchen, front desk, and management.
  • Communicate operational updates, guest feedback, and service issues effectively.
  • Support hotel events, promotions, and special activations as required.
  • Lead by example with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain flexibility to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Participate in a pooled tip system, sharing gratuities in accordance with company policy.
