About The Position

Carolina Meadows is looking for a people orientated Full Time Cafe Server. This position is primarily responsible for serving and assisting residents, staff and guests with their meal needs. Additional duties include meal preparation and Cafe sanitation. You must be able available 7:00am-3:30pm Monday - Saturday. Ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years food service experience and excellent customer engagement skiils.

Responsibilities
- Operates Cafe in accordance with all set standards and serves residents, staff and guests in an accurate manner by completing all daily checklist and sanitation requirements.
- Ensures all surfaces and equipment has been properly sanitized at the beginning of each shift using the appropriate cleaning solutions and supplies. Returns all cleaning supplies back to the storage room at the end of each shift.
- Assists the Cafe Supervisor in reviewing and purging items located in the freezer or refrigerator based on usage date.
- Empties all trash located in the Cafe kitchen and eating areas and wipes/washes out trash cans when appropriate. Ensures each trash can have a new trash bag.
- Assists Cafe Supervisor with clean up at the end of each mealtime or shift to include wipe downs of tables, chairs, kitchen floors, etc. Clean up back area.
- Performs opening duties to include recording of temperature in logs books and ensuring appropriate equipment is functioning properly. Food Preparation and Service
- Prepares food for the Cafe according to set standards and provides customer service to ensure resident, staff and guest satisfaction on a daily basis.
- Ensures all menu items follow the standard recipe and product specifications as set by the Cafe Supervisor. Prepares and customizes food for resident, staff and guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintains all food preparation areas and assures that all preparation of food was done to the highest standard of sanitation.
- Prepares all food and drink items in the Cafe at the beginning of each shift or during mealtime. Follows standard recipes as set by the Cafe Supervisor including portion control.
- Refills condiments throughout the day ensuring all residents, guests and staff have adequate supplies available.
- Takes call-in orders for residents and staff and fulfills orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keys in all items ordered by resident, guest or staff member and ensures order is accurate prior to obtaining payment.
- Checks all food to ensure the temperature is consistent with food and sanitation standards.
- Preps meals and other items for the following day and ensures all containers are properly labeled, stored, etc
