About The Position

The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring excellence in quality, service, and cleanliness. This role supervises associates, manages multiple micro kitchens (pantries) across several buildings, and supports financial and operational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in food service management (restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or healthcare).
Proven experience managing micro kitchens or pantries across multiple locations.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and see the broader operational picture.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
ServSafe or Department of Health Certification preferred.
Work hours: 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (or later as needed).

Responsibilities

Hire, train, supervise, and coach team members.
Manage café and pantry operations, ensuring adherence to sanitation and safety standards.
Plan and execute marketing initiatives, special events, and promotions.
Operate within budget while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Analyze and interpret operational data to develop strategies for cost control and performance improvement.
Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
