About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting and seating Guests, maintaining a smooth flow of Guests through the restaurant. Maintains the cleanliness of the restaurant dining room and bus stations in accordance with company standards. Maintains wait lists when necessary. Handles cash transactions.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Food and beverage experience preferred; cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification.
  • Must possess a cooperative and friendly nature.
  • Must possess a strong sanitation standard.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and follow directions effectively.
  • Must be well-organized.
  • Must have the ability to learn and operate point of sale system.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
  • Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
  • Required to lift 25 lbs. and occasionally more with assistance.
  • Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains an effective working relationship and excellent guest service with all Team Members and Guests.
  • Greets and seats Guests and ensures that both external and internal Guests are treated cordially and in a courteous manner.
  • Handles cash transactions accurately, efficiently and in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Maintains contact with Guests, serving staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure that dining details are handled properly and quickly.
  • Adheres to Black Oak Casino Resort and departmental appearance standards.
  • Provides courteous guest service and adheres to Guest Service Standards.
  • Performs duties using sound and mature judgment.
  • Converses with Guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service; addresses complaints or concerns.
  • Performs multiple tasks during high volume situations.
  • Ensures fair, balanced and equal flow of seating for Servers and Guests. Cleans and resets the dining room on an as needed basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
