About The Position

The Caf Gianna Barista is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

Requirements

Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred.
Knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing methods.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent; barista training or certification is a plus.
Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations .
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, balance, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect inside and outside areas of the property location and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, equipment, and seating areas.
Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
Provide recommendations and educate customers about menu items and coffee varieties.
Operate coffee-making equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
Comply with health and safety regulations.
Attend training sessions and stay updated on new products and techniques.
