About The Position

The Tortuga Café Food & Beverage Specialist plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Tortuga Café. This position requires the Specialist to manage a customers’ orders from start to finish while maintaining a presentable and positive appearance given the open nature of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for service, the ability to learn food notes and prepare dishes to standard, strong math skills for cash handling, and the ability to upsell menu items effectively.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or hospitality
Previous experience as a barista is
Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a
Strong math skills, including basic math and retail math, are essential for cash handling
Knowledge of food preparation techniques is
A friendly demeanor with excellent communication skills to help create a positive atmosphere for
