About The Position

Join the team at the Grand Café, located inside the Killington Grand Hotel, where great coffee meets great hospitality. As a Café Barista / Retail Associate, you’ll be at the center of the guest experience—crafting high-quality beverages, assisting with retail sales, and creating a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere for every guest. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys connecting with people, and takes pride in delivering both excellent service and quality product.

Requirements

• Passion for customer service and creating positive guest experiences
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Willingness to learn and grow product knowledge (coffee, retail, etc.)
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
• Must have excellent customer service skills, flexible hours, and be able to work weekends
• Familiarity with the specific type of merchandise sold in the shop desirable

Nice To Haves

• Previous barista, retail, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
• Previous experience with soft goods or hard goods is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast, friendly, and personalized service to every guest
• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso drinks, and café items with consistency and care
• Build relationships with repeat guests by learning names and preferences
• Accurately take and fulfill orders
• Operate the register and handle transactions with accuracy
• Educate guests on coffee, tea, retail products, and menu offerings
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work and retail areas
• Monitor food quality and uphold safety and temperature standards
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and product ordering
• Support alcohol sales in a safe and responsible manner (as applicable)
• Handle guest questions, concerns, and feedback with professionalism
• Work collaboratively with teammates to keep operations running smoothly
• Perform other tasks as assigned
