Cafe Attendant - Barista

About The Position

We are looking for a friendly, positive, service-oriented, highly energetic and self-motivated Barista/Café/Market Attendant to join our team. This individual will prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. They will work closely with the hotel's Food & Beverage Team. This position's primary function is to serve quality products to customers in a friendly and professional manner while adhering to the standards set by Hilton Brand Hotels. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent experience for our guests. Café is open 6am to 6pm, seven days a week. We are currently looking to fill one full-time opening. Candidates should be able to work during posted café hours, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress
Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
Knowledge of sanitation regulations
Flexibility to work various shifts
Basic math skills
Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
Excellent communication skills
High school diploma; relevant training is a plus

Nice To Haves

Food Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Barista: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Greet customers as they enter
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g., preferences of coffee blend, dairy, and sugar ratios)
Prepare beverages following recipes
Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, and muffins
Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
Keep the cafe area clean
Maintain a stock of clean supplies
Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
Comply with health and safety regulations
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
