About The Position

Dewberry has an opportunity for a Water/Wastewater CADD Technician to join our Denver, CO office to assist with a wide range of challenging water and wastewater projects. This is an opportunity for an individual to join a team of energetic, highly engaged professionals in Dewberry’s growing Water Service Line. The ideal candidate will have a prominent role on our team, strong communication skills, and a desire to work collaboratively with Engineers in the design and production of contract documents for various water and wastewater projects. Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a CADD designer with mechanical emphasis.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Revit modeling experience to create surfaces, alignments, and profiles.
  • Strong interest in civil engineering, including Wastewater, Water Resources, and construction best practices.
  • HS diploma, A.A. Degree in Drafting, Design, or related field preferred
  • High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to ask for additional directions and assistance when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Civil 3D a plus.
  • Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities design experience preferred
  • BIM/ Navisworks / ACC/ Model Coordination experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining 3D models in Revit .
  • Prepare P&ID drawings using Plant 3D and Revit.
  • Prepare design drawings from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Prepare working drawings from conceptual plan to development Plan, Construction documents, and construction record drawings.
  • Coordinate with other team members including engineers, managers, administrative staff, and construction staff members.
  • Learn and apply dewberry/client specific drafting standards to drawings.
  • Design, layout and construct mechanical assembly drawings and fabrication details in Revit and Plant 3D.
  • Modeling, laying out, sizing, coordinating, and detailing process mechanical systems.
  • Assembly of plan sets and submittals.
