About The Position

Thrasher is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a strong record of project success throughout the Mid‑Atlantic region. Our team of experts delivers a wide range of professional services across five major markets: architecture, land development, water resources, transportation, and energy. We are seeking a CADD Technician with experience, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit to join our Beckley, WV Land Development team . Our Land Development team works on a large variety of projects for both public and private clients including commercial development, residential development, industrial development, public improvement projects, reclamation projects, and special projects focused on outdoor recreation, tourism, broadband enhancement, and abandoned mine land reclamation. Requirements

  • A minimum of an AS in drafting or a related field .
  • 1–3 years of experience as a CADD Technician in land development, civil site, or related work (preferred).
  • Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Civil 3D a plus .

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and site layouts for commercial, residential, and industrial land development projects.
  • Address comments and redlines for grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, utility plans, stormwater plans, and overall site design components.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to develop efficient and constructible designs that meet client objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with design tasks related to stormwater management systems, site geometry, roadway design, and site infrastructure.
  • Participate as an active member of the QA/QC team, providing input and ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Work independently within a deadline‑driven industry while contributing to team success.
