WSP is currently initiating a search for a CADD/OpenRoads Technician for our Altamonte Springs, FL office to support our Southeast Region Geospatial / Surveying Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team conducting conventional, aerial, mobile and terrestrial surveying projects surveying staff members. Your Impact Duties and Responsibilities: Develop technically accurate and deliverable computer-generated CADD drawings utilizing Open Roads Designer, based on surveyors notes and sketches; preparation of complete contract drawings; maintain adherence to company and client CADD standards and procedures Prepare and produce survey documents as directed Conduct project research and review plans, legal descriptions, and calculations. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) knowledge is a plus. 3+ years of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Open Roads Designer experience Familiar with other relevant software such as GIS or BIM and technology used in surveying and civil engineering Working knowledge of surveying and/or civil engineering practices is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented and able to follow QA/QC procedures Self-motivated, highly reliable and great work ethic Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Must be able to work with a team WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies #LI-AC2

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or Open Roads Designer experience
Familiar with other relevant software such as GIS or BIM and technology used in surveying and civil engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and able to follow QA/QC procedures
Self-motivated, highly reliable and great work ethic
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Must be able to work with a team

Nice To Haves

Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) knowledge is a plus.
Working knowledge of surveying and/or civil engineering practices is a plus.
