About The Position

The CAD Technician I supports the engineering team by producing accurate and detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role involves preparing plans, layouts, and schematics based on engineering specifications and design requirements for gas distribution or transmission projects. The CAD Technician ensures that all drawings comply with relevant standards, codes, and client expectations. Collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders is essential to revise and finalize designs, maintain documentation, and contribute to efficient project execution.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • 0-2 years of experience working in CAD
  • Entry level CAD or MicroStation knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and relevant project management software.
  • Knowledge of multiple CAD systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performing simple to complex CAD work
  • Reading and understanding client standards and specifications, other project related documents and meeting their requirements.
  • Data and document entry into various platforms.
  • Scanning, copying, and filing documents.
  • Reporting safety, health, and quality issues to management.
  • Assist management as directed.
