CAD Technician - Civil Design

About The Position

Snyder & Associates' St. Joseph, MO office has an immediate opening for an experienced CAD Technician/Designer to work in the creation of detailed drawing and construction plan preparation in civil, transportation and utilities engineering projects. The successful candidate will have a professional and positive attitude with a strong work ethic; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the flexibility to work both with a team or independently.

Requirements

2+ years experience civil engineering/infrastructure plan production
AutoCAD experience required
Associate's Degree in CAD preferred or Certificate in Drafting, or an acceptable level of CAD training.

Responsibilities

Develop and prepare engineering drawings using practical design knowledge for transportation projects
Work closely with engineers and other designers to ensure coordinated projects
Compile data and perform calculations required for preparation of plans and drawings.
Assist with hydraulic analysis of storm sewer systems
Prepare consistent plans and engineering drawings.
