About The Position

Specialty Metals Corporation is seeking a CAD Programmer. The role requires an individual who is quality conscious, self-motivated, possesses a strong work ethic, and is a team player. The primary software programs utilized include AutoCAD, Sigma Nest, Solidworks, and Inventor, with Inkscape and MS Office also in use. Nice To Haves

• Experience in Solidworks or comparable 3D program

Responsibilities

• Create drawings for all of our shape cutting machines, press brake, as well as shop drawings for fabrication assemblies.
• Aid in the sales department with quoting jobs and deciphering drawings.
• Program orders that require shape cutting of parts per order specifications and requirements.
• Ensure that assigned orders are programmed in an efficient manner and to the highest of quality standards.
• Ensure that programming outputs conform to all of the customer's requirements and noted specifications.
• Identify discrepancies and address with the sales team and/or customers.
