About The Position
Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading global manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications. This is an entry-level, fully remote position to write code for existing plans, and to support and maintain existing applications.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Windows and/or System i environments
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages; Visual Basic, HTML, SQL, MS Access, ASP.NET, MVC, Java, C#, or RPG
Nice To Haves
- Two year degree in Computer Science
- Two years in a similar role
Responsibilities
- Work with AMEC associates to determine application requirements.
- Identify and document proposed application functionality and specifications for review.
- Code new applications.
- Document final product in detail.
- Develop and deliver user training for new AMEC applications.
- Maintain current AMEC applications by providing usage and defect support.
- Modify existing AMEC applications as necessary.
- Provide support for AMEC custom applications.
- Other tasks as deemed appropriate by Manager.
