The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD skills, deep familiarity with solar design documentation, and a process-driven mindset.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of CAD drafting experience with at least 3 years focused on solar design (utility-scale preferred).
  • Expert-level AutoCAD proficiency (2D required; 3D not required).
  • Experience with solar PV design tools such as PVsyst, PVfarm, or Helioscope.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Establish and maintain document control best practices including naming conventions and version management.
  • Own QA/QC review of drawing packages across engineering teams and client submittals.
  • Build and maintain an AutoCAD block and detail library for solar components including harnesses, trunkbus, IPCs, disconnects, conduit layouts, and packaging solutions.
