This role is responsible for supporting best practices, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables, and supporting engineering and design teams through training, automation, and technical guidance. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a CAD Manager or Senior CAD/BIM leadership role.
  • Expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering, land development, or infrastructure design workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support and train technical and non-technical users.

Nice To Haves

  • Autodesk certifications (Civil 3D, Revit, or Autodesk Professional). Preferred.
  • Experience with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, AutoLISP, or scripting/automation tools. Preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-discipline environment (civil, structural, architectural). Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary CAD/BIM technical consultant for Civil 3D and Revit across all projects.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain CAD and BIM standards, templates, styles, and workflows.
  • Manage and optimize Civil 3D objects, surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, data shortcuts, and styles.
  • Oversee Revit model setup, families, worksets, shared coordinates, and model coordination.
  • Support project teams with troubleshooting, file management, and performance optimization.
  • Lead training and mentoring efforts for CAD designers, engineers, and BIM users.
  • Coordinate software updates, version control, and Autodesk licensing in collaboration with IT.
  • Develop automation tools (e.g., scripts, templates, Dynamo, or LISP where applicable) to improve efficiency.
  • Stay current on Autodesk releases, industry best practices, and emerging BIM/CAD technologies.
