About The Position

As a CAD Drafter at Roswell Marine, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining product drawings for innovative marine products and systems using standard drafting practices and procedures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that drawings meet design intent, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

Associates degree in Engineering or Design/Drafting or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of CAD / Drafting experience, preferably in the marine, automotive, or manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
Working knowledge of GD&T.
Attention to detail.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining, injection molding, and metal fabrication.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Knowledge of marine systems and components is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed mechanical drawings from 3D models for marine systems and components using Solidworks CAD package.
Dimension and tolerance drawings using GD&T principles.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including manuals and reports.
Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and technical documents.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure drawings have all the necessary information for production of parts and assemblies.
Assist with Bill of Materials and Engineering Change Notices.
Work closely with production and management to resolve drawing related issues.
Ensure that production always has the most current drawings.
Support efforts to continuously improve document accuracy and efficiency.
Suggest improvements to drafting standards, templates and workflows.
Willingly take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
