About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CAD designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have: a Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CAD, extensive knowledge of CAD software i.e., Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, a strong technical drawing ability, good communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, a good understanding of mathematics, engineering and sheet metal fabrication.
Requirements
- Technical Certificate or Associate’s Degree in CAD
- Extensive knowledge of CAD software i.e., Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
- Strong technical drawing ability
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Good understanding of mathematics, engineering and sheet metal fabrication
Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings, 2D, 3D models and prototypes.
- Accurately represent dimensions of materials and other elements using standard G,D&T.
- Accurately and effectively manage BOMs and Part Files.
- Work with engineering staff to transform product ideas from prototyping to production manufacturing.
- Analyze designs for potential improvements.
- Generate and manage all metal fabrication nesting files.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.
- Effectively work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
