About The Position

Join our team where your CAD expertise directly supports product development, engineering, and customer solutions. We’re looking for a detail-oriented CAD Designer/Technician to create, update, and manage technical drawings and 3D models. In this role, you’ll collaborate with engineering and shop teams to deliver accurate, high-quality designs that support manufacturing and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Drafting/Design, Engineering Technology, or related field —OR— high school diploma plus at least 1 year of drafting/CAD experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D modeling tools)
  • Familiarity with Excel, Word, and manufacturing or ERP software
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of technical drawings
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively
  • Willingness to learn new tools and contribute to process improvements
  • Must be a US Person as defined by ITAR/EAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident or any individual who is granted status as a “protected person” . Under the export control regulations, a “U.S. person” (22 C.F.R. § 120.15; 15 C.F.R. § 772.1) is someone who is: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States (e.g., “green card” holders); or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. (e.g., political refugees, political asylum holders, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Develop 2D and 3D part and assembly models using AutoCAD and Inventor
  • Update and revise controlled drawings based on engineering changes or customer requirements
  • Interpret sketches, concepts, and specifications to produce accurate technical drawings
  • Review customer drawings for accuracy and compare them with internal RFC documentation
  • Manage drawing files and ensure accurate storage in Meridian vault
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve design issues
  • Suggest and test improvements to drawing standards and design processes
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality documentation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
