Job Summary: The CAD Designer/Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Precision and attention to detail will be crucial in producing accurate drawings that adhere to industry standards.

Requirements

• Experience in building and assembling mechanical components.
• Proficiency in CAD Software such as SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, MicroStation, and inventor.
• Experience working as an AutoCAD drafter required.
• Bachelors’ degree in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of technical writing and codes standards.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret and create mechanical design drawings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drawings for mechanical components and systems based on specifications provided by engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure that designs meet technical requirements and standards.
• Revise drawings as necessary to incorporate feedback and ensure accuracy.
• Create schematics, layouts, and diagrams for various projects.
• Assist in the development of prototypes and models.
• Maintain documentation of all drawings and revisions.
