Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangements of parts. Sketch rough layouts of machine and compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes. Draft detailed multi view drawings of machine and subassemblies, including specifications and direction of moving parts. Compile test data to assist engineers determine effect of machine design on various factors such as temperature, pressure, speed, horsepower, and fuel consumption. Modify machine components to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems. Measure machine and parts during production to ensure compliance with design specifications. Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs and manufacturing details. Provides assistance to the Plant Engineer on major projects such as expansion of facilities, acquisition and installation of capital equipment, major repairs and overhauls, plant layout changes, and other related matters as directed. Maintain project information in iMaint; ensure purchasing and work orders are linked to the correct project. Report to the plant engineer the current status of all projects and various tasks currently involved in. (Bi-Weekly).
