About The Position

Primarily will - Design and develop Controls and Automation System Panels with AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD Electrical using existing organizations “pre-built” libraries and with collaboration and input from the Engineering Lead. Primarily will - Develop and maintain complete documentation packages for each project assigned to execute. Documentation includes bills of material, system layout, detailed drawings, termination drawings, and “As Builts”. Primarily will - maintain revisions library of the projects assigned – tracking Proposal / Red-Line / Construction and AS Built phases. Secondarily will - provide Mechanical CAD – design and development Gas “Analyzer” Tubing Detection System Panels, Bills of Materials and Proposals for these types of systems. Will verify final drafts include all relevant information in an easy-to-read format, and verify that calculations, measurements, and units are accurate based on initial design information from engineers and current UL standards. Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of AutoCAD responsibility. Has the authority to stop production work at any time it is believed quality is being compromised or there is a safety concern with the panel design.

Requirements

  • Must have demonstrated high level ability to design and execute detailed drawings using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD LT. Minimum of 3-5 Years.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of NEC code as it pertains to PLC, I&E Controls, and instrumentation panels.
  • Must be able to work independently and use good judgment in making commitments to others.
  • Must be able to build and maintain excellent relationships with numerous internal and external parties in an environment that regularly has two parties seeking the same business, but where only one can have it.
  • Must have good working knowledge of Mechanical Tubing Systems, Industrial Automation Systems, and Industrial I&E Rack Systems.
  • A MINIMUM 3-5 YEARS AUTOCAD ELECTRICAL AND LT EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
  • DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS.
  • PRIOR WORK HISTORY IN AUTOMATION AND CONTROLS OR I&E / I&C SYSTEM DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
  • Knowledgeable on NEC Code requirements as it pertains to control and electrical panels. Knowledge of UL508, UL NNNY and be proficient in computer usage including familiarity with software programs such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel, Adobe PDF and Correct usage of SharePoint and AutoCAD.
