About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the supply cache at DFFM, and is tasked with the distribution of supplies and equipment to District Offices and personnel throughout Arizona. This position will coordinate with procurement staff and is responsible for supply and equipment ordering to ensure seamless statewide operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of: National Wildland Coordinating Group Supply Cache best practices and management.
  • Supply and equipment inventory systems.
  • Supply distribution and maintenance.
  • Ordering of supplies and equipment.
  • Skills in: Organizing high volumes of supplies and equipment in a systematic fashion to maintain efficiency.
  • Utilizing computer software to maintain inventory.
  • Development of schedules for distribution.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, etc) and Google Suite.
  • Ability to: Communicate efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Drive for extended periods of time.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Arizona Drivers License
  • Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

Responsibilities

  • Uses an inventory system that tracks all supplies and equipment needed for incidents and operations. Works with DFFM procurement staff to coordinate supply and equipment ordering and develop distribution routes and schedules.
  • Receive, stock, maintain, recondition, and distribute supplies and equipment to all staff. At times, oversee DFFM staff and/or ADCRR crew members in warehousing, maintaining, and reconditioning supplies and equipment.
  • Establishes base camp operations, provides support for camp operations, manages equipment and facilities utilized in all incident functions.
  • Oversight of camp crews performing facilities support.
  • Other duties as assigned as related to the position
