We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Cable Operator to join our team at a leading steel building manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting heavy-duty cable to specific sizes for metal buildings according to customer orders. The position requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Forklift/combi-lift certification a plus.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions.
• Experience operating machinery or a willingness to learn (specific training will be provided for cable/rod-cutting operations).
• Physical stamina: Ability to lift, pull, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift/combi-lift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate cable-cutting machinery, cutting cable up to 1/2” in thickness.
• Measure and cut cable to specific lengths based on customer specifications.
• Follow detailed work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy of cable cutting.
• Perform repetitive tasks with precision in a physically demanding environment.
• Safely handle heavy materials and equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
• Keep workstations organized, clean, and properly stocked with necessary materials.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and assist in resolving them.
• Work collaboratively with team members in the warehouse and cable operations areas.
