About The Position

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Cable Operator to join our team at a leading steel building manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting heavy-duty cable to specific sizes for metal buildings according to customer orders. The position requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions.
Experience operating machinery or a willingness to learn (specific training will be provided for cable/rod-cutting operations).
Physical stamina: Ability to lift, pull, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift/combi-lift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate cable-cutting machinery, cutting cable up to 1/2” in thickness.
Measure and cut cable to specific lengths based on customer specifications.
Follow detailed work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy of cable cutting.
Perform repetitive tasks with precision in a physically demanding environment.
Safely handle heavy materials and equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
Keep workstations organized, clean, and properly stocked with necessary materials.
Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and assist in resolving them.
Work collaboratively with team members in the warehouse and cable operations areas.
