About The Position

We are currently seeking an Electronics Assembler who will be responsible for building cable assemblies for SEAKR hardware per IPC standards. The candidate will primarily be responsible for crimping and soldering wires into back shells, in order to make cables used in for the testing of flight hardware. The candidate will be a part of the manufacturing team and therefore may perform additional soldering and manufacturing task as directed by supervisor. It is critical that the candidate be able to read and interpret engineering drawing and travelers along with having some experience building cable assemblies. The Cable Assembly Technician is responsible for the quality fabrication of SEAKR support hardware and cables. This is a full-time non-exempt position in which the work is performed under general supervision by the Supervisor, Manufacturing and is evaluated on results obtained.

Requirements

High School Diploma
2+ years experience in a high reliability production environment.
US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

IPC certification in soldering per J-STD-001 or IPC-WHMA-A-620

Responsibilities

Crimp and solder cable contacts in accordance with IPC standards.
Cut and bundle wires in accordance with technical drawings.
Read and interpret schematic and cable drawings.
Verify quality of assembly prior to handing to Quality Assurance.
Effectively communicate manufacturing concerns with engineering.
Keep knowledge of manufacturing processes up to date.
Ensure that knowledge of SEAKR rules and regulations is up to date.
Ensure assigned manufacturing equipment is kept in a high state of readiness.
