About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated, talented, and driven individual to join the Mead Lumber Cabinetry Team as an Intern. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced industry professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The intern will assist with cabinet design, layouts, and project support tasks, contributing to real-world projects while building valuable technical and professional skills.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Drafting, Construction Management, Architecture, Design, or a related field (Junior/Senior status preferred).
Familiarity with CAD software or similar design tools is highly desirable.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in building materials, construction, or a related industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to create or revise project plans.
Determine cabinet layout, plans, colors, styles, and designs.
Obtain project measurements to verify design and space solutions.
Order product.
Coordinate product timing and delivery.
Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to enhance operations.
Shadow experienced professionals to learn best practices and industry insights.
