About The Position

Brunswick’s Integrated Manufacturing Center (BIMC), located in Merritt Island, Florida, supports the growth and development of Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and other Brunswick boat brands. This location, formally a Sea Ray Sport Yacht and Yacht facility, centralizes Brunswick’s vertical integration capabilities to deliver efficient, cost effective capacity and productivity planning to the Brunswick boat brands. Cabinet Maker II To perform a wide variety of tasks in a large yacht manufacturing facility. Fabrication tasks performed may include building cabinetry, upholstering, assembling, fitting, cutting material, routing and installing.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a high school education or equivalent.
  • One year of experience with cabinetry.
  • Cabinetry for boats is a plus.
  • Requires knowledge of cabinetry and Formica techniques and materials.

  • Overall Floor Knowledge
  • Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting
  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report all hazards to their Supervisor immediately
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
  • Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required
  • Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, spending working hours on your feet, etc.
  • Must be able to understand all safety related document and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including the General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced finish cabinetry techniques on large boats, working with the most sophisticated and complex styling.
