Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Cabinet Designer for our Kitchen Art Cabinetry Division. This Designer position supports high‑volume production by creating accurate, build‑ready designs and technical drawings for kitchen, bath, and other rooms. This role translates customer specifications and architectural plans into detailed layouts, selecting appropriate materials and ensuring all designs meet manufacturing standards. The designer collaborates closely with the ordering department and project managers to maintain accuracy, resolve design issues, and ensure efficient workflow from design through fabrication and installation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of 20/20, AutoCAD or Bluebeam design software required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Extensive cabinetry product knowledge
  • Possess a high level of attention to details
  • Outstanding problem solving, leadership, and listening skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but prior experience within the industry will be considered
  • Experience processing cabinet orders or working within the kitchen and bath industry is preferred
  • Product and vendor knowledge or the ability to quickly learn it

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate, production‑ready kitchen, bath, and cabinetry designs using CAD/2020 and Bluebeam
  • Review architectural plans, customer specifications, and measurements to develop detailed layout drawings
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts, discrepancies, or feasibility issues before release for final presentation
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product lines, fabrication standards, and company processes
  • Communicate design intent clearly to other departments and assist with clarifications as needed
