The Cabinet Assembler position is responsible for assembling materials to build the cabinets.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in construction, cabinetry, or woodworking
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of cabinet-making techniques and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand or kneel for long periods of time
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn carpentry methods and techniques
  • Ability to use and read a tape measure to the 16th of an inch with accuracy and precision

Nice To Haves

  • Prior cabinet installation or trim experience
  • Carpentry skills, proficiency in using electric and hand powered carpentry tools

Responsibilities

  • Assemble cabinets using glue, nails, screws, or other fasteners
  • Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides
  • Sand, stain, and/or paint finished cabinets according to customer specifications
  • Conduct quality checks and make adjustments or repairs as needed
  • Review and follow all job plans and instructions as listed in SPS
  • Track and update job status in SPS Tracking System
  • Observe operation of tools and equipment assigned to ensure proper maintenance and safe operation
  • Coordinate repairs of tools and equipment as needed
  • Maintain and operate equipment in accordance with operating manuals and procedures, and maintain your assigned work area in a high state of cleanliness/readiness
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
