Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree with at least 1 year of experience OR Masters degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree
  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe
  • High level of organizational and process management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to apply rigorous logic
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Broad knowledge of rotating and static equipment through experience, expert training and self-study
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Trained is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor day to day unit operation, lead and support process troubleshooting efforts and coordinate the resolution of technical process related issues.
  • Coordinate and support the continuous development of the process technology and the optimization of the process .
  • Responsible for continuous improvement efforts and costs savings (yield /quality improvements, waste reduction, throughput, energy savings, defect elimination and other related activities .)
  • Provide technical support to unit HAZOPs, assessments, audits, incident reviews, etc. and ensuring the safety concept of the unit is maintained /improved.
  • Serves as process expert and plant representative for design, construction and implementation of investment projects – interfacing, with technical professionals from other disciplines ( e.g. PCT, project, engineering, environmental and utility services operations, and process, development)
  • Creates, maintains , and develops standards for plant operating, documentation ( e.g. standard operating procedures, process descriptions, material and energy balances, P&IDs, and operating data collection and, retrieval)
  • Compiles formats and submits environmental data necessary for, timely and accurate filing with local, state, and federal regulatory, agencies
  • Provide process technology and operational related training materials from procedures, lessons learned and support training in the unit.
