Sense & Warn (S&W) Rapid Deployment C2 Technician – Level III Position Overview: The Sense & Warn (S&W) Rapid Deployment C2 Technician – Level III is a senior-level technical position requiring subject matter expertise in the operations, maintenance, and integration of advanced command-and-control systems, communication networks, and emergency notification systems. This role demands a high degree of technical proficiency, leadership, and the ability to operate independently in both domestic and international environments, including high-threat and austere locations. The Level III Technician serves as a key resource for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues, while also providing expert analysis and recommendations for system improvements. This position requires extensive experience with Department of War (DoW) systems and interoperability with Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware, as well as the ability to coordinate with senior government officials and interagency partners. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT Serve as a subject matter expert in the operation, maintenance, and integration of S&W systems, including Command-and-Control systems, communication networks, and emergency notification systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and operating system issues. Develop and maintain system documentation, perform data analysis, and provide fielded system support. Ensure interoperability and integration of DoW C-RAM systems with COTS hardware. Maintain technical system hardware configurations and operating systems. Support operations at international work locations, including high-threat and austere environments. Provide expert guidance and recommendations for system improvements and future program challenges. Coordinate with senior government staff and interagency partners to ensure mission success. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Current DoW SECRET Clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP Secret Clearance . Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent military/technical training in IT, electronics, or communications. Minimum two years of experience with communication networks, including documentation development, data analysis, and fielded system support. Training in electronics and/or network systems. Flexibility to travel overseas as required.
