About The Position

The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) – Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) serves as a senior operational leader supporting the execution and advancement of the organization’s C-UAS programs for Government and commercial clients. The DPM assists in coordinating program activities, operational planning, technology integration, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of counter-UAS capabilities designed to protect personnel, facilities, and critical infrastructure. This position works closely with the Program Manager to ensure the successful execution of operational programs while coordinating with internal teams, technical partners, and customer stakeholders to maintain operational readiness and mission effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience supporting aviation, unmanned systems, air defense, security operations, or related operational programs.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in counter-UAS program operations, including operational planning, technology integration, or program support.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex operational programs involving multidisciplinary teams, including operators, technicians, analysts, and support personnel.
  • Experience supporting programs that integrate detection sensors, tracking systems, surveillance technologies, and counter-UAS mitigation capabilities.
  • Experience operating in dynamic operational environments where rapid decision-making and adaptability are required.
  • Experience coordinating with government customers, security organizations, or military units preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Manager in developing, coordinating, and executing operational plans for C-UAS programs and projects.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of program scope, cost, and schedule planning.
  • Support the development and implementation of innovative and cost-effective counter-UAS solutions aligned with evolving threat environments.
  • Assist with proposal development and capture efforts, including technical input, operational planning, and solution development.
  • Support the management of program activities in accordance with approved Project Execution Plans.
  • Assist in coordinating multiple project schedules, operational timelines, and budget tracking.
  • Help ensure projects are executed in accordance with cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
  • Support preparation and delivery of program status briefings and operational updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain program records, operational documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining strong communications with customers, subcontractors, and partner organizations.
  • Support the development of organizational depth through mentoring, professional development, and operational guidance of subordinate personnel.
  • Assist with coordination and oversight of subcontractor support activities when applicable.
  • Contribute to the operational integration of layered counter-UAS capabilities that enable early detection, tracking, classification and defeat of unmanned aircraft threats.
  • Support operational teams in adapting to rapidly changing threat environments and mission requirements, ensuring effective execution of counter-UAS operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with counter-UAS technology vendors, system manufacturers, and industry partners supporting program capabilities.
  • Evaluate emerging counter-UAS technologies, sensors, mitigation systems, and software platforms to identify solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Support the assessment, testing, and potential integration of new detection, tracking, identification, and defeat technologies into operational environments.
  • Coordinate with vendors to support technology demonstrations, system evaluations, and capability assessments.
  • Monitor developments across the counter-UAS industry, defense sector, and unmanned systems market to identify innovative technologies that can strengthen program capabilities.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on future technology adoption, system upgrades, and capability expansion opportunities.
