RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures an adequate inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals are available for employees to clean and sanitize the facility to the required level. Provide supervision to the sanitation team, including training, performance evaluations, and coaching, to ensure a high level of performance and adherence to sanitation protocols. Provides direct supervision and follow-up to maintain accurate documentation and records related to sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, training records, and regulatory compliance documents. Stays current and up to date of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management as well as communicating all changes to Company policies and protocols to employees . Ensure team members adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is not impacted by the activities of the sanitation services department. Informs senior management of any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Monitor work schedules to ensure manning is at the established standard to meet the daily schedule attainment. Ensures timekeeping records are accurate and employees are paid according to the collective bargaining agreement. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s or associate degree in food science, environmental health, public health, or a related field or equivalent or experience in a food manufacturing facility. Work experience in industrial sanitation in a food manufacturing facility preferred. Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations, including those specific to the protein industry. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Proficient computer skills, including experience with sanitation management software and MS Office applications. SCHEDULE 11:00PM-8:00AM, schedule can vary depending on needs of the business WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical and work demands listed here represent those an employee should possess to perform the job's essential functions successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility and primarily will be on the production floor. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This position is primarily on the production floor and will have limited office time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment requires you to wear hearing protection at all times on the production floor. The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
