About The Position

This position is largely responsible for cashier responsibilities of the PlayStation 777. It is under general direction of the Convenience Store Manager and the primary function is to provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Basic computer literacy including use of computerized service station software, point-of -sale (POS) systems, and inventory management software.
Knowledge of office equipment including telephone, fax, credit card processors and cash register/POS systems.
Basic computer literacy including use of computerized software systems.
Ability to relate with visitors and staff; maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor at all times. Excellent interpersonal skills in relating with customers and staff.
Knowledge of office equipment including telephone, fax, photocopier, credit card processors, and cash register, and POS systems.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for selling alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
Must complete anti-discrimination training within three months of being employed.
Must complete customer service training within thirty days of being employed.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Convenience Store and property.
Maintain, at all times, a courteous, tactful relationship with our customers.
Maintain, at all times, a clean, well-lighted environment for our customers including the pump islands, landscaping, driveways and parking lot, interior of building, floors, shelves, coolers, storage areas, eating areas and restrooms.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with staff.
Become familiar with vendors and purchasing functions.
Collects cash from customer for purchases and makes change or charges purchases, using customer's credit card.
Ensure that all delivery of food, tobacco and beverage items are properly received by matching quantities to packing slip or invoice.
Learn policies, rules & regulations and apply them using fairness and good judgment.
Carry out verbal and written instructions from the Team Leader or Manager and follow-through in the completion of all assignments.
Protect the assets of the Convenience Store and Blue Lake Rancheria.
All other duties as assigned.
Creates an atmosphere of FUN for all PlayStation 777 guests.
Encourages mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all Team Members, by setting positive examples at all times.
To provide a safe work environment for Team Members, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
To maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

To maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.
